Exactly as reviewed
I purchased this for my U-Turn Orbit custom I purchased last year. I ordered it with the Ortofon OM5E because the info on the U-Turn site said it "A great choice for listeners who enjoy a wide variety of genres" and I listen to everything from John Coltrane to Johnny Cash to Siouxsie & The Banshees to Dead Can Dance to Schonwald and a lot in between.My setup is a Pyle PT796BT, which is a good receiver...but it was one of the few that had a phono in and passive speaker hookups for L/R, Center and passive subwoofer....I want to use this for my HT as well.I have two older Sony Floor standing speakers, a Sony Center speaker and it's matching Subwoofer. Sound with the OM5E was a bit flat. The base from the Sub seemed almost non existent.I read a review that said something like if you feel you need more base, this is the styli for you. I plugged in the Elektro, threw on Contrane's A Love Supreme and was blown away. The sound was crisp, the bass punching...definitely worth the money. I need to test some of the other albums. But for me, this was a perfect upgrade.

One of the best needles
awesome tracking, and pretty resistiant. I use these, the nighclubs and the s-120's, and I would rate these one step below the s-120 in overall performance. Not the best for scratching (the S-120's rock for that), but a great all around needle for those running DVS. Way overkill for conventional Vinyl, stick with the archive or Omega or that old vinyl isn't gonna last.

Excellent cost and quality
I've been using Ortofon Elektro for quite a while in my Technics record player. It's an excellent stylus for the price it costs.

DJ Cart
Ortofon cartridges are the best. Universally interchangeable depending on application, with the elektro cart being much more bass heavy due to the DJ nature of the needle. If you think your records/system is lacking on the low end check out this cart for sure.
