Installed this in my 2006 Nissan Frontier 4x4. Added an under the rear seat Audio Enhancer 10" sub box with a Rockford Fosgate R2 shallow mount sub. The sub is a DVC 2 ohm, so ran it in series for a 4 ohm load and then wired the amp bridged mono. I really like the sub volume knob, ran that up front under the dash. This is more than enough for this little truck and I'm not joining any sound comps or SPL comps either. Sounds great with my ATOTO A6PF headunit, Pioneer TS-692C 2-way components upfront and TS-A1680 in the rear with 85Hz and 200Hz blockers on the fronts/rears. This my 2nd SSL amp, I have an EVO1500.1 running a Rockford Fosgate P2D4 12" in my car and it is more than enough for that sub. Great value, great features, zero issues.

I installed it in my truck and it sounds great.

I bought two of these "1200W" amps. They look outstanding, have a lot of very nice features, and push a decent amount of power...especially when you consider the LOW price. But, and it's a fairly BIG BUT, do not buy this expecting to get ANYWHERE NEAR 1200W out of it!! First, they advertise as "2 ohm stereo stable", & yeah it is (doesn't go into protected mode & shut off when you run it at 2 ohm STEREO, but don't even think of 2 ohm bridged), but it puts out I would say MORE clean power into 4 ohms than 2!!! And it does not have a "soft turn on/off" so you can expect that wonderful POP when you power it on/off. Decent overall for the price...just don't expect too much!!!

The gain i its not adjustable in increments (I am sure it was cheaper for them to leave the dials and repurpose the board and bored plate than to do separate soldering). It will go from too low to too high at about half the turn. The crossover filters at most do a +3 at 150hz on Hi and a +1 at 50hz on LP. The signal out the speaker terminals is as dirty as it can get. The ground loop or overvoltage noise appears with only power and ground wired to it. Even when running solely on a 13.7 40 amp current on 4 gauge termination I have an electrical engineering degree. I know the thing could not be as more grounded as I proceeded to ground it to a staked earth ground. I did all this to save you the disappointment. its nicely built and great finish but its a POS> I went to pawnshop and got me a used beat up Kenwood PST200 and I now get to hear a symphony for 50 buckaroos. The pawnshop would not even give me 20 dollars credit for the POS. That tells you enough. The choice is yours.

This isn't the biggest or most powerful amp but its worth the money. I have it pushing 2 rockford 12's in a single cab truck. It sounds better than the 1500 watt audiopipe amp and 2 Memphis 12's I used to have. Sure they're are better amps. But not everyone can afford them or even like them for that matter. If you want serious sound buy digital design. Their stuff is bullet proof and second to no one. That includes all you high school kicker fans.
