I was a little surprised at just how small it was in person. However, the size has not been a problem and my 5 year old loves it. This number of pieces is just the right level of challenge for her to do by herself without getting either bored or frustrated. We will probably get more from this series.

My daughter already bought this penguin puzzle for our grandson's Santa stocking, so I have to return it.I will say that it's very small. Great stocking size!It fits in the palm of my hand.Super cute though!!!

This puzzle is perfect for kids aged 4-7. The pieces are small and overall the puzzle is small but that makes it great for sticking in a bag and taking it along - it can be done anywhere with a paper-sized bit of table space. The image is really cute, and while my 5 year old did it easily, there are a few pieces that add challenge so it's not too boring right away.

For a little that loves puzzles, this was a perfect gift. The pieces weren't to small and was the right difficultly for him to put together.

Did not expect it to be so small. I love Mudpuppy puzzles for their high quality, but this is overpriced for the size.

I've bought several of these puzzles for my grandson who is 5. He loves them. The pieces are well made. The colors are bright and vibrant. Just the right size and number of pieces for a young child. He has 5 different ones so far and will sit for hours putting them together over and over. I plan on buying all the different animals. I'm sure your young child will love this as well.
