Happy purchase!
Easy to install, use & manage. Kid friendly. So far it works great & we’re happy with purchase. One thing I was annoyed about, was it didn’t include the “brain”. In order to get some features I specifically purchased it for I had to purchase additional pieces. Like auto locking after door closes, the app functions, alerts the door is still open & a couple other things. In my opinion it should have been included especially since it highlights the features in the description as though it comes with everything or at least be more forthcoming that these features require additional equipment. After everything was said & done I feel it was a bit pricey.

Get rid of the keys
I've had zero problems with my Yale locks. Replaced the batteries after two years of daily use. So happy to get rid of door keys.

Well built, solid, reliable!
Yale is been around for a long time, so that made me want to check out their product. I am glad to see this product is well built and good quality metal. Parts look and feel strong. Installation was easy and had all the nessesary parts (excellent packaging). I liked that it came with the matching set of handles. It's small and modern. I've had for about a month and no issues so far, it's solid! Mine is not WiFi accessable (not an issue for me), they have a model with WiFi but it's probably more expessive. I'm happy with this model.

You have to buy separate module if you want to use app
The lock is great but we were really annoyed to find out you have to buy a separate $80 module if you want to use the app.

New Door
We installed an Iron door and needed to replace the silver keyless lock. The color is exactly as shown and after 6 months the lock is still working perfectly. I love the heads-up signal when a new battery is needed. The sounds so old fashion BUT NO DRIVING ALL OVER TO FIND THE PERFECT LOCK

Occasionally works as advertised
So I wanted to reduce the number of keys on my keyring and this was a big part of that plan. And, I will say, that it does, occasionally work as advertised. What it is supposed to do is unlock when you are coming back and lock once you get X distance away. Your phone beeps telling you the door is unlocking, then the lock beeps letting you know it's unlocked. If you forge your phone you flat palm the lock and enter in your code. Flat palm when unlocked to lock. So, here's what it usually does -1. My phone beeps saying the door is unlocking. But the door doesn't unlock.2. The lock beeps, but my phone doesn't. The door is unlocked.3. Neither my phone nor the lock beeps but the door is unlocked. So I hit to bring up the keypad and the door locks. The "door sense" only works when I go to close the door. Then it will swing into action and stick out the latch just in time to damage the door frame. When it does work, it's good. And, it's nice to be able to give a temporary code to visitors and workmen coming in to do stuff. But, if I could go back, I would likely buy something else.

Will never buy another brand again!!
I love the quality of Yale brand products!! We had first experienced Yale in a home we bought. When we moved to a new home we tried installing another brand and had nothing but troubles with 3 locks we kept exchanging then said forget it let’s get a Yale lock. I don’t think we will ever buy another brand again since the quality is amazing!! The touch screen is awesome too!! When family comes into town we don’t have to worry about hiding a key so they can get in when they arrive or are staying with us.

cheap, and unsecure
I have 20 plus years experience working on locks, and own two successful lock/door companies. I wouldn't give this to one of my customers with this cheap latch. I have experience with the commercial version of this lock, and bought one for my fathers new house. Unless you have access to a better deadbolt latch you do not want this lock. The latch is cheap, and unsecure. I ended up keeping the lock, but swapped latches out with a competitors brand. Pictures above show the throw of the deadbolt, show how it mechanical fails even the eye test let alone how flimsy it is. The adjustment doesn't hold which causes latch to move when force is put on it. Yale should do better I highly suggest another lock unless you have spare parts to swap out.BDQ LocksmithBrett Quader
