In December of this year I purchased this ceiling fan (and two other models) and after 7 months I thought it was worth writing a review. I saw another review about the app not working great for them but I have not had an issue connecting from the app and the app also has another feature that I love called breeze that basically speed the fan up for a moment then back down and it cycles the up and down speed so it feels like a breeze, nice change of pace rather then having it always blowing on you.I also have the Ceiling Fans tied into my Control4 system using the Modern Forms (free) driver so I can tie it into the automation system and also control the fan in the Control4 app. Modern Forms are also putting out firmware updates for the fans often always improving them.The fans they make have a solid feel to them and look great, Quit motors in all three of the fans. I had a question about the fans before purchasing them and called tech support and they picked up the phone at their office in the United States and answered all of my questions.

Excellent fan, design is awesome and fits perfectly for our modern/mid century modern home and deck. The wall control is WiFi so it doesn’t have to be hard wired to the fan but it needs a power line. It does not come with a remote. You have to use the app and on my Apple it works good but not excellent. Over all construction of the fan is excellent, my electrician friend said it was definitley made with quality in mind and it looks like it was manually inspected prior to being boxed.

In June of this year (2020) I bought two of these 72" fans after studying many reviews. As with any product there were both positive and negative review aspects to his product. After installing the fans on my outdoor covered and screened patio, one of the fans worked flawlessly while there was a problem with the other fan - in particular the fan would stop working shortly after turning it on. I called customer service and the support I received was most impressive. After a brief discussion to confirm my problem they immediately decided to send me a replacement “receiver module”. After installing the new module, the original problem persisted. I called support back and they quickly decided to send me a brand new in-the-box replacement for the entire unit. They paid shipping both ways (I was given a pre-paid shipping label to return the original fan). I now have two fully operational fans. One more item should be mentioned. I have read reviews of people who have heard “grinding” sounds from their fan when in operation. I also noticed that noise in one of mine. This noise was not especially loud and not a “show-stopper” for me but it was more of a minor annoyance I hoped I could learn to ignore – It was not, in my opinion, something I should be hearing from a fan in this price range. What I noticed is that at the lower speeds, the noise was effectively absent while at higher speeds it was present and audible. After having both the fans in operation for several months I can tell you that the noise subsided over time and is now is totally gone – the fans run silently. While I still think this should never had been a problem in the first place, I suspect now that it is something that seems to disappear after a “break-in” period of operation. One last thing – even at high speed you will not experience hurricane force wind from these fans. They provide what is best described as a breeze – enough for keeping you comfortable on days that are not in the upper 90 degreed point. Low 90s and less are wonderful and I find myself running the fans a less than full speed. Overall, these are BEAUTIFUL looking fans (lots of positive praise from family and visitors), they now operate silently and they are fully controllable from my iPhone using the manufacturer’s app. (both fan speed and light dimming). I would recommend this product for purchase – the main reason for only giving it a 4-star rating is due to the problems I encountered earlier.

We love these! The modern look works well with our new home. The DC motor is quite and they circulate a lot or air. It's great to be able to turn on the fan and control the speed of fan and light dimmer using Alexa. Install with wifi enabled fans is a bit more tricky but very doable. I would purchase again.

Similar to what the other customer said: the app, wall remote get disconnected with no apparent reason. I have the latest firmware and everything is fine, but they get disconnected way too often out of blue. It really sucks because if everything worked as intended, this would be the best fan, hands down.Air flow is not great, but not bad either. It makes a strange click when you rotate counter clockwise but it's alright.I don't know if I will recommend this product. If a new firmware comes out and fixes the connection issue, I may revisit my thoughts, but for now, you can find more reliable fans out there that cost less than half of this one.Update: changed to 1 star: please don’t buy it. Too inconsistent, glitchy. Just an expensive headache. It simply just doesn’t work.

I have a different Modern Forms (MF) Fan in my great room and love it. I wanted to replace the fan in my Den, so I ordered this MF fan. The directions were not very clear, but it's a pretty standard ceiling fan so not a big issue. The problem was that the fan blade screws stripped when attaching the blades. Apparently the holes don't line up closely enough, which forces the screws to enter at an angle, resulting in a striped screws. I was able to tap the screw holes and make it work, after considerable jacking around and frustration. If you're not that handy, I would pass on these fans. on a positive note, the fan in my great room have worked without issue for a year. Hopefully this fan will continue to work as well.

I haven’t opened it yet, my patio cover is in progress of being built. But I’ve had this fan at my previous home. We loved it.After we get it installed I’ll think about getting a couple more.
