Cheaply made but works for Scott’s S1642
I installed this on my 2001 Scotts S1642 (John Deere knockoff) I mow my lawn weekly and it’s around 2/3 of an acre. First off, yes I know this belt is cheap to purchase but I didn’t expect it to be as cheaply constructed as it is. After about 8 hours of mow time the inner cords are already showing/fraying where it touches the pulleys and it’s giving a pretty good screech when I engage the blades. I’m assuming it’s stretched quite a bit so I’ll probably have to adjust my tension again soon. All in all it works it’s just not ideal.
