Design issues
I have Chinese vegetable cleaver from same brand and that is awesome. However, I suppose this is a meat cleaver because it is almost double in width. But then it is not full tang. So not sure what is the use. Maybe usable on chicken item but so is my vegetable cleaver as well.To add insult this one didn't came sharp from factory. I have only 1000, 3000 and 6000 whetstone so it took me nearly 1 hour to make it sharp enough to cut paper.Still giving it 3 star (average) because it still looks good and should work perfectly for chicken and fish. I would have tried with mutton but since this is not full tang I am not sure.Ps: handles are not treated so get some linseed oils. Raw linseed will not make it perfect but doable for short usages like dressing single chicken.

MADE IN CHINA PLEASE NOT JAPAN
Very blunt even when out of the box. Felt a bit pinched when there is mention of “Japanese” steel everywhere but actually manufactured in china. Not full tang!!!! Why bother to keep the price on par with Japan manufactured knives?Disappointed with KAI even though I have santoku and benifuji from the same manufacturer, the sharpness and or make is way below a real Japanese knife. I should have gone by the previous reviews … don’t buy and waste your money!
