BLUE LIZARD Sheer Face Lotion - SPF 50+, 1.7 Oz

I put this all around my eyes and on eyelids-NO STINGING! Moisturizing for my dry skin. A bit of white cast but it’s mostly gone after 10 minutes if you work it in well. Nice under makeup as long as you’re not an oily skin person.

This is an amazing face sun screen. I switched to face specific ones a bit ago as I found that my regular stuff would cause irritation a few hours later around my eyes. My other stuff is also blue lizard sensitive skin stuff, but I think that the stuff would just irritate the eyes a bit after it started to shed off. But to help against that, I tried the Blue Lizard 30 SFP face and it felt great, but it often didn't have enough protection on my natural pale skin native to redheads. So I upgraded to their 50SPF and it works amazingly well. You can still get a sunburn with 50spf but that is under hours under the sun verse the hour and a half I was getting with the 30. I am now back to using my hat during the 10a-2p time frames and when hanging out in our yard after 3pm as we loose our shade. Blue Lizard has been a godsend for me though as they offer the most consistently well made mineral sunscreen that doesn't irritate my skin in general... except maybe the eyes if I don't wash my face off later. It is also super easy to apply and it is super thin compared to the regular sensitive 50 spf.

As a skincare junkie, I always wonder if I was stuck somewhere and could only use one product the rest of my life, which one would I choose? After using Blue Lizard for a few years now, and finding this particular version, and using it now for a year, I can say it is THIS product. I'm pale, prone to melasma and very photo sensitive. This lotion makes me glow, brightens my face and makes me look younger. I can see how some would feel it's not good with makeup, etc. But I don't wear much makeup - I use this, then apply some mineral sunscreen powder, especially under my eyes, so I can wear mascara, otherwise, yes, this lotion will help the mascara bleed a bit.If you have darker skin tones I can also see this might not blend well, but if you have aging, dulling pale skin, this is a glow maker! I. Love. It! And no, I get zero of the typical zinc oxide clown make-up appearance; it blends right into my skin.Reading the ingredient list just makes me love it more - natural anti aging and moisturizing extracts mean this lotion works double duty to not only protect from further damage, but heal past sun damage and provide an excellent moisture barrier.Please Blue Lizard, do not EVER stop making this product - us vampires NEED it!!

Good purchase. It’s expensive but a good product to keep you from getting sunburn.

Terrific sunscreen and blue light protection for the face. This product works well protecting my face when I am outside in the middle of the day. No sunburn! Small enough container to carry around and reapply every 2 hours to keep the sun from burning the face. It is creamy and easy to put on the face. Once applied it sinks into the skin with no greasy residue, but still gives a dewy fresh appearance on the face. Definitely a great product.

This is a very nice mineral sunscreen.One of the main things that I struggle with when I put on facial sunscreen is that it burns the heck out of my eyes and leaves them bloodshot! I switched to this one from the aveeno protect hydrate 60 spf hoping that I would not have that same issue. This sunscreen does not burn my eyes! Even when I am washing it off at the end of the day, it does not burn which is great! So if you are looking for a sunscreen that does not burn your eyes, this is it! As far as coverage goes, it does leave a white cast upon application but after a few minutes of rubbing it in, it blends in well with the skin. The sunscreen has a very runny consistency, so it is easy to spread. It gives your face a shiny look that can look oily, but I don't mind that. So far, I have not seen any new blemishes from using this sunscreen. My skin feels smooth. I have only been using this sunscreen for about a week so it could change. I think the only off-putting thing about it is the smell. It smells kind of like glue or playdough. It's not super overpowering but you definitely get a whiff of it every so often throughout the day. Other than that, this sunscreen is great! Definitely recommend!

Blue Lizard Sunscreen works amazing! We were on Florida beaches for 1 week, did not burn! Usually I get burnt no matter how many times I reapply, I barely reapplied ‘ did not burn. No awful smell, not too thick, went on a little white but rubbed in quick. Great sunscreen!

I ordered this because it scored okay for EWG while still being a product that didn’t leave white residue across my entire face like the more popular mineral sunscreens. It goes on smooth like a regular moisturizer and doesn’t feel like it’s suffocating my face or like I didn’t put anything on at all.
