I've bounced around for years trying to find something to help manage my short, graying, coarse and thick hair. I don't like the wet or slicked back/to the side look. I really prefer the clumpy, beachy, styled between the fingers look.I used a ton of different clays throughout the years and there always seemed to be something that kept me from sticking with one or another... whether it was scalp irritation, flakes, hard to rinse out, not a good enough hold... I can say with confidence that this stuff does everything I need a hair clay to do without the negatives I've experienced with other products.It doesn't require much to get your preferred style. The hold is amazing, and it your hair doesn't look wet and hard to the touch. Weather doesn't affect it unless you're standing in a downpour, and it washes out easy in the shower.Definitely recommended!

This isn’t going to read like a 5-star review, but I think the product deserves that rating. I have slightly wavy thin white guy hair and have used this product for at least 5 years.After showering, I take a very small amount and rub it between my hands vigorously to heat it up and then run my hands through my hair. This product has given me the ability to shape my hair and have it hold throughout the day.As I’ve gotten older, I’ve experienced hair loss and general thinning. Even with running my hands together to heat up this product and applying it while my hair is wet, I still end up with more friction and pulling than my hair can handle.If genetics were different, I’d stick with this because it’s so good, but I’ve regretfully had to move on.

Awesome stuff. I use it for when my hair is short. I like the matte finish and no shine. And it has amazing hold. One negative is that it's hard to wash out and need to wash my hair at least twice to wash out the product. Overall, I highly recommend.

Easily the best clay I’ve ever used. A little bit goes a very long way, and the hold is very strong. I have medium-long hair that I pretty much slick back, and this works great for holding the shape I like. It also doesn’t leave your hair feeling greasy. It feels light in the hair, and has a nice matte finish to it. Never getting a different hair clay again!

I have used a lot of hair product over the years and this by far for me, was one of the worst. I hate saying it. I have tried other items from this brand, and they were good. This misses the mark for me. My product was extremely hard to get out. Then it took forever to warm up and feel right to put in my hair. Once in my hard it did not spread well and took a long time to get it all worked in. Washing it out, what a chore that was. I had to a double wash for my hair to feel how it normally would when wet. I have medium thick hair that is mostly straight for reference. Maybe my jar was old or something, who knows. Bottom line, not ordering that again.

The first time I purchased over a year ago, it had a slightly grainy/dry texture with an earthy smell. It had a good hold, very matte, and liked the mild smell. Once I ran out I decided to purchase it again, but now the texture is much creamier and it smells like beeswax which I hate. This is also not as matte as it used to be, which is one of the main reasons I purchased it in the past. The hold still works well, but due the smell and inferior matte, I will not be purchasing this again. Not sure if I had a bad batch, but it is now too late to return it so I am still trying to decide throwing it out for a better product.

Good product, feels and smells like good quality. Will last a very long time, dont need much for it to do it's job. One this is if I don't mix it well it does look pasty on the hair.
