As a pastel artist I was so frustrated with conventional ways of securing the pastel paper to a backer board for painting. Securing the paper to a coroplast board with painters tape was a workable option but not perfect. The tape tended to lose its stickiness often causing the paper to fall, sometimes while I was painting.I found this board and ordered some strong magnets. Since I mostly work on 9x12 paper the 11x17 size is perfect. The board fits nicely in my Handy Sandy cart (available on Amazon) so I can easily transport it to workshops or plein aire painting events. Not only does the board fit securely on my easel, it’s easy also easy to change out my paintings when working on several paintings at one time. While the magnets held my painting securely, the only negative was that the pastel dust accumulated around the top of the bottom magnets rather than fall away from the painting.

Didnt come with screws -- luckily I have a dad with two tool boxes. Strong magnet hold.

I bought this for my grandson's birthday. With it, I included many small magnet sets (like dinosaurs, human body, 50 states, etc.) which I bought from Target. Unfortunately, when he opened what I *thought* was a great gift, he was less than enthusiastic ... but then again, he turned seven and wanted something else. Like plushies. Or video games. A few days later, his mother (my daughter) told me my grandson finally realized how much fun the magnets and the magnet board were, as he really loves to learn and probably had plenty of plushies. I highly recommend this board. It's small enough to sit on your lap, and sturdy enough to hold the magnets. My daughter never hung it up, so I can't comment on that installing aspect.

My magnetic mat is fine. Delivery has been requested to deliver to back door. I have 7 doors and have found my packages at 6 different doors. I don't go down stairs due to my back restrictions. A friend came to visit and brought my package in. Can I please get my packages delivered to my back door ramp?

We bought this to add to our RV so we could use a magnetic paper towel rack. Rather than put holes in our wall, we used Gorilla Tape to adhere this to the kitchen wall. We use a heavily magnetic paper towel holder that we got at Harbor Freight - much better option than traditional wallmounted paper towel holders. A couple of strips of tape and it was up. Holder firmly adhered and problem solved until we trade RVs at some future date. They the metal will remain for others to have magnetic surface since rest of RV kitchen surfaces are not metal.
