I've used a lot of different rechargeable batteries over the years and Duracell's are still top. I've had other "less expensive" batteries, and sometimes I find that they're weird sizes, or they suddenly stop charging, only 1 has had a bulg (it wasn't even a knock off brand), quite a lot have corroded. I've slowly replaced almost all of the batteries in my house with rechargeable Duracell's (where applicable). It has finally gotten to the point that I havr some extra rechargeables and a few non-recharchables (just in case), and I have yet to find a better alternative. I dabble in music and electronics and electronics for music and I'm definitely aware that I'll always need a back up, no matter what, but in a crunch, they've always worked and my non-recharchables are in a kitchen drawer gathering dust.

I got these same identical batteries and returned them because they were not the usual green/copper top rechargeable batteries that were pictured on the Amazon website. It appears that Duracell has changed the look of their rechargeable batteries as Amazon sent me the same identical package of batteries that I returned. They need to change the picture on their website so as not to confuse customers.

Though Duracell alkalines are known for destroying electronics due to severe leakage (Energizers being a close second), I've always found Duracell rechargeables to be superior, especially to the likes of Energizer rechargeables which can't hold a candle to the Duracells. Likewise, I've never seen a Duracell rechargeable leak, whereas I have seen a few Energizer rechargeables do so. The Duracell rechargeables will also hold their full charge for many months, whereas the Energizers have to be charged just before you use them.

The batteries are the same color as a normal Duracell battery. They are not the green color shown in the picture. Obviously, this did not affect the performance of the battery, but it is something to be aware of so you don't get rid of them thinking they are a normal battery.

NOT precharged at all. they all came with less than 15% charge on all of them with half of them at under 10% and a few at 0% right out of the box at normal room temp.I had amazon replace them and i had the same issue with the 2nd batch.Updatei charge them all up to 100% and they maxed out at 1.40 to 1.41 volts. seeing as a fully charge AA is a minimum of 1.5 volts... these failed an initial charge test.i let them sit out (half in the fridge and half in room temp) for 48 hours. ALL OF THEM dropped down to 75 to 72% charge with the ones from the fringe htting 75% and the room temp nearly 70%.I tried charging a few back up to 100% but they would not even run simple toys with lights and motors. These batteries are GARBAGE JUNK right out of the box. DO NOT BUY THEM.AA and rechargeable batteries should be shipped full charge and stored with a full charge. My amazon basics and enloop batteries BOTH all hold a full charge for months on end in room temp of 1.48 volts and i have been using them for years.

What more do you want? These are reliable, rechargable batteries. They last as long as you would expect batteries to last and don't seem to be losing charge capacity after about 5 recharges. Great value, always go rechargable.
