Q: Does it stay on plastic?

I have had good luck with it so far. Also on certain items i have put a clear coat over it for reassurance.

Q: Can you remove it? How permanent are we talking?

You can remove it with a razor blade & if any glue left on it you can use goo gone or goof off to remove it!

Q: Does it adhere to a fiberglass boat?

That I am not sure of , but I have used it on a mailbox and its lasted over 7 years now and has not faded too much and hasn't started rolling up on the edges like the letters done that I bought at Walmart.
