1791 Gunleather 1911 Holster, Right Hand OWB Leather Gun Holster for Belts fits All 1911 Models with 4" and 5" Barrels

I love this holster and is a work of art as are most of the 1791 holsters. I have about six of them and numerous magazine holsters. If you follow the instructions and use the freezer bag to insert it, it will fit perfectly. I generally will coat the Holster with a light coat of mnk oil or mink oil paste on the outside and on the inside slightly, heavier where it will contact your skin and where you will generally sweat and I’ve had good luck with all my Leather. The fit is fantastic. The leather is heavy duty stitching and overall it’s a beautiful work of art. I love this holster. It fits my Kimber Tactical pro 2, Colt series 70 Gold cup perfectly.

I was not sure what to expect with this holster, but I can honestly say it has quickly become one of my favorites. I've owned everything from elcheapo to custom-made and the quality of this holster is second to none. Extra thick leather. Quality stitching and design. Was very tight when I got it. But like has been suggested by others, wrap your pistol in saranwrap and leave it in the holster a day or two. Will come out with a perfect fit.

Very pleased with this holster. Was a little hesitant ordering it without being able to actually see it first but when it came, the quality was very good. My 1911 fit in it so tight at first that I had a lot of difficulty getting the gun back out. I took a long rectangular piece of wood and inserted it into the holster and spent 15 minutes working it around trying to loosen or stretch the leather. After doing that the gun slid in and out much better. I managed to get just the right amount of tightness by working it with that piece of wood that the gun stays put but isn’t stuck too firmly. I’m happy I bought it and would do it again.

I have a Kimber 1911 Dawn series very well made, and just like anything that is leather needs to be broken in. I broke it in like an old baseball glove, using some shaving cream and mineral oil after a few times of working it in this is my go to every day Carrie holster when I am carrying my Kimber they also make an extra mag carrier holds two magazines, same thing very nice but need to be broken in. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

This is my second purchase from these folks... I admit to being somewhat from a holster snob. I have purchased many Galco holsters over the years, and I think they produce a fine product. The 1791 leather holsters are by far the finest I've ever owned. The two I own are for a Smith & Wesson 686 Plus and the 1911 leather. Do not hesitate... I don't believe you will regret it!
