This is a good starter kit for anyone who is interested in the process of embroidery, but doesn't want to drop tons of money on each individual piece or time on developing their own graphic. The package I bought came with instructions that were not in English, but shortly after the seller was kind enough to send an email with the English instructions. However, the instructions aren't necessary and a quick search on youtube will provide you with the tips and tricks you need to make your project successful

First, the instructions were very poorly translated from Chinese, so unless you know anything about embroidery, you're gonna be lost. Second, I think the needles were too small. I couldn't even get one thread through the needle (I even tried a needle threader, which broke). Finally, this shouldn't be labeled as embroidery and cross-stitch. Those are two very different crafts and this is clearly an embroidery kit.

I am new to embroidering so I don't really know much about it; however, from what I have done so far, I have found that it's a very laborious and slow task (as expected), but it gives you something to do when you want to procrastinate. But be warned that it is highly addictive. I am generally happy with this purchase, but I do think that the starter kit is really for starters. I personally don't think that this set will last, given that one my needles is already crooked and how difficult it is to turn the knob on the embroidery ring thing. I also found that the yarn is of mediocre quality. I think that this kit is definitely a nice investment for beginners who just want to explore hobbies, so it worked well for me; however, do invest in better items if you are more experienced.

This was a wonderful set for the absolute beginner. My daughters aged 9 and 11 had a blast learning embroidery with this kit.The instructions did come in Chinese but there was also a set in English by a non native speaker. They were clear enough for us to understand and follow.The floss is very strong and doesn’t bleed. We washed the pattern out of the fabric after finishing and there was no bleeding issues from either the floss or the pattern. It only took about thirty minutes for the ink to dissipate and we changed the water several times. The hoop is strong and I can get the screw tight.It was fun and easy to work. I’d say my girls put in about 20 hours to complete this, learning curve and needle threading included. What an enjoyable week to read to my children in the evenings while they worked their projects!

This just arrived & looks ok, it has three needles, the thread & a pair of scissors. The only problem is I don't speak Chinese & unfortunately that's the language the instructions are in. Had there been instructions in English I'd have given it five stars, I've never embroidered before so having instructions that I could actually understand would have been extremely helpful. They should state in the description that they are in a foreign language.

Nice enough kit for a beginner, but I ordered the floral pattern and received the ivy in a basket pattern. I would not have minded but the instructions are for the floral pattern, so I have to try to figure out how to do the ivy one on my own. It is not that difficult but I wanted the floral one. It is not worth my time to try to talk to Amazon about it so I guess I will just figure it out on my own.

Great Kit! Has everything you need and the instructions included. I like arts and crafts kinda stuff and wanted to give this a try. It was a good choice!

I bought this in 2 different patterns. Comes with all the colors you need, hoop, and a couple needles just to get started. It’s fun, but I’m a geek like that. The 2nd went to my mom and we raced on who could finish first. Ha. I think I’ve got her hooked.

This is the good embroidery kit for beginners. I liked the cross stitch kit which is included with this kit.Great handling and firm hold on the cloth.

Very cute! I am new to this and excited to learn. There are directions that give you a step by step way to do stitches. Everything comes in a cute package, would be a good gift.

Will try it in the fall.

Don't bother with this kit. Not really very detailed for beginners. And if you are a beginner the yarn will make no sense to you Some of the yarn is really long and others are...

Do not waste your money on this. The needles were too big for the canvas and was nearly impossible to thread on the smallest needle.

I really like it, It’s really easy to look at the picture and do it by yourself.

Very good kit for the beginners, but there where not grey and light blue, so i am thinking what to do with that single branch.

The colors where different, and I didn’t have all of the colors shown. I managed to make it work, and it was a fun kit, but again they didn’t give me all the yarn colors.

I’m not sure about those reviews that state it didn’t come with enough floss... I had more than enough.
