The plug is solidly constructed and robust compared with the one which came attached to my tyre pump. However the leads have to be soldered in. Anybody who has ever done any soldering knows that connecting one wire to a lug is a doddle but connecting two is nigh on impossible because the first one comes off when you melt the solder to attach the second. The other wires are connections to an LED and a resistor. The best way is probably to detach these, twist them with the power leads, tin them and re-attach to the lugs. Why on earth someone can't design a plug where you simply attach the power leads to screw terminals, as in a 13 amp plug, is beyond me. Not for the layman!

By referring to the wiring illustration included with the illustrations on the Amazon page, soldering the connections to one of the plugs was straightforward. However, the fine wire connecting the capacitor in the second plug was found to be broken when the two halves of the plug were separated to make the connection. This had to be soldered back together before the feed wire could be connected. The fragility of this connection is clearly a weakness of the plug's design.Another weakness is that there is no clamp or support for the new connecting wire as it passes through the rubber sleeve, so that any pulling on the wire passes straight to the soldered connections. The hole through the sleeve is much larger in diameter than the fine wires that will normally be connected to these plugs so they flop about; it was possible to improve this somewhat by wrapping insulating tape round and round the wire at the point of entry, then forcing the rubber sleeve over the tape to create a friction fit. That is a major - and avoidable - fault in the design.The plug body itself is sturdy and other components fit together well. However, the two side sprung connectors are perhaps a little too sturdy, and a considerable force is needed to push the connector in to the socket, and to withdraw it, to the extent that I have to support the pull-out panel in which my socket is located with my other hand to avoid straining it: better too tight than too loose though.

The product is sturdy as promised but as with all these type of plug it’s compact size & price means that soldering is the practical option. The downside , as mentioned by many, is that you do need to know how to solder and it will be a bit of a fiddly. You will need a small electrical soldering iron, electrical solder with flux core, Emery paper for cleaning & roughening all solder surfaces and it is helpful if you have snipe nosed pliers . You will need to “tin” both surfaces after cleaning. The resistor for the green bulb will come off as you apply heat so holding it and the tinned wire together whilst applying the final solder is helpful. You don’t need the resistor attached if you can do without the green power light.

Good product; has given my tyre inflater a new lease of life. Connections need soldering which is a bit fiddly because it is quite cramped inside the case. I added a short piece of insulation to the back of the -ve terminal as it is quite close to the +ve terminal. The cable is not anchored inside the case so I put a small tie wrap around the cable inside the case to stop it being pulled out and I replaced the 20 amp fuse with the 10 amp fuse from the old plug.

To use with higher amperage wires involves some tricky soldering and wire installation . LED connections only soldered so inclined to disconnect when attaching load cable (within claimed spec) Possibly OK for low current connection but def NOT for 15/20A cables! No crimp connections- only solder tabs!

Far superior in quality, compared to the many other cheap plastic ones for sale online.I bought this to replace the one on my tyre inflator which burnt out.Bought a replacement that also burnt out as the spring was just ordinary wire that was not shielded and melted into the plastic casing.This one has a shielded copper spring that will stand up to much greater temperatures.

These plugs are pretty good but have 2 flaws. (1) they are fiddly to solder wires onto due to the resistor and LED which, needless to say, fall off when they are heated. A pair of screw terminals would have been a better option for connecting to, and (2) the hole in the tapered grommet is way too big for any normal sized cable you might use. I would redesign the grommet with a smaller opening which you could then trim back if you needed to. They work well enough and are sturdy so worth 4 stars.

Ideal for making a extension lead with 2 male plugs rather than 1 male and 1 female. However you do need a soldering iron to fix the leads. I had 5mtrs of loudspeaker wire and with the 2 plugs made a lead which I used to plug into a car socket and the other end to a 12v psu enabling to change the car battery without having to lose the car memory settings.

A falta de usarlo durante algún tiempo más, a priori, cumple su función sin problema, aunque todavía no he hecho ningún viaje largo para comprobar fiabilidad.Lo único negativo es que las conexiones se deben realizar mediante soldadura... quizás para el usuario medio (entre los que me cuento) sería más conveniente que las conexiones se pudieran hacer mediante un pequeño tornillo, como la mayor parte de enchufes domésticos. Si no dispones de un soldador eléctrico, mejor no lo compres; en caso contrario, es perfecto.Edito: Después de usarlo en un viaje durante muchas horas consecutivas, no se calienta y aguanta perfectamente.

Spedizione perfetta. Il difetto risiede nel modo in cui vanno collegati i fili. Solo attraverso saldatura e questo tipo di collegamento è chiaramente evidenziato nella scheda prodotto di Amazon. Purtroppo non esistono prodotti con modalità di collegamento diversa dei fili. Esistono su Amazon spinotti accendisigari con collegamenti a vite, ma non hanno la stessa forma (adatta al mio accendino auto) e non presentano il led che fa da luce di controllo.

prese ottime, plastiche durevoli e aggcanci resistenti, presente anche un led che avvisa del funzionamento corretto che non è poco visto che non sempre sono così affidabili come collegamenti (si muovono se si tira il cavo).Le ho usate addirittura senza saldare i cavi all'interno ma solo avvolgendo il cavo da quanto sono presici gli incastri.Unico neo da cui le 4 stelle la spedizione con poste cinesi che ci mette diversi giorni per arrivare.

Lo compré con fusible de 10A (supuestamente) para sustituir el equivalente de un compresor Michelín que utilizo para inflar las ruedas. El procedimiento empezó mal. Hasta tres veces soldé los cables en un espacio muy pequeño y con pocas opciones de afianzamiento del estaño. Finalmente quedó más o menos firme y probé a hinchar las ruedas. En la primera rueda el conector se calentó bastante, en la segunda un poquito más y en la tercer simplemente se quemó (el plástico se derritió con humo y todo). Muy mala opción. He comprado otros (que ya vienen con cables) y perfecto. Mala calidad y dificultades, sin más.

Non proprio per farci passare 20 A (scaldano già troppo - al limite dello "squaglio" - utilizzandoli per 10/12 A continui a 12 V...), ma nel complesso buoni e resistenti.In campana circa la posizione dei piedini del piccolo led incluso durante la chiusura dell'oggetto a seguito della saldatura dei cavi, perché potrebbero toccarsi (i piedini, appunto) facendo così cortocircuito, poiché - almeno nei miei - non c'era alcuna guaina di gomma a rivestire uno dei due piedini. Casomai può essere utile aggiungerla.

Ich habe diese Stecker gewählt, um einen alten, defekten zu ersetzen. Gott sei dank sind in dem Gebinde zwei Stecker enthalten, denn die Montage ist etwas knifflich. Beim Öffnen des ersten Steckers,der Inhalt ist lose, und die Anschlüsse müssen gelötet werden, zerfiel alles in seine Einzelteile.Beim Zusammenbau zerbrach das Gehäuse, weil ein Kontaktteil klemmte, es mußte der zweite Stecker her.Im Steckergehäuse ist so wenig Platz,das nach dem Löten und für den Zusammenbau eine dritte Hand notwendig ist, und alles sehr sorgfälltig in Lage gebracht werden muß, damit der Zusammenbau gelingt.Es ist jetzt alles ok. Für handwerklichen Laien nicht empfehlenswert.

Conector que cumple con todo lo que se dice en la oferta. El conector soporta perfectamente las intensidades que se dicen en las características, esto es importante porque si no las respetas puedes quemar el conector. Esta hecho de materiales muy aceptables. No obstante hay que tener cierta experiencia para soldar los cables ya que no van atornillados van soldados. Pero no representa una dificultad muy grande. Recomendable de hecho he comprado dos.

Para un cable de que va a trabajar con 20 imperios que es para lo que estan diseñados, deberían de tener un agujero pasacable de más diámetro. Así como dentro mas espacio para estañar. Por lo demas, siendo habilidoso, genial

Es un buen conector para sustituir por uno roto. Yo lo he usado para sustituir por uno que se había roto nada mas empezar a usarlo de lo malo que era. Destacar tambien lo fácil que se abre, se suelda y se monta, muy bien diseñado

Esta muy bien, es robusto y fuerte, lo he instalado en una nevera de camión, no se calienta aun que el consumo es bastante elevado en amperios.... lo que si, hay que poner un buen cable.

Ho sostituito la presa acendisigari sulla pompa gomme auto. Provato a gonfiare le gomme con successo. Ottimo

Ojo!. Hay que tener un soldador de estaño y soldar ya que no hay ninguna rosca para atornillar los cables

Utilizzate per creare dei raccordi con altro tipo di attacco femmina funzionano regolarmente e sembrano anche abbastanza robuste. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo!
