Q: The lead retracts into the barrel when i try to draw with this, is there an adjustment i can make to prevent this from happening?

With my knowledge of clutch pencils: either the lead is too short and needs to be replaced or what what I do since it's such a thin lead is to put on behind it thus pushing it forward. Rare occasions a lead will snap in barrel/nose where it extends out of pencil, just remove lead and look into it maybe use needle to empty/remove anything that could be stuck. Hope this helps!

Q: How do you refill this pencil?

You take the rubber out of the end, drop in a new lead, put the rubber back and pump it until the lead appears at the other end.

Q: Can this be refilled from the back or do the leads have to be pushed in from the front?

Pull off the eraser, then insert new leads. Don't overfill or it will jam. Replace the eraser.
