Emerson 1F95-1291 7-Day Touchscreen Thermostat with Humidity Control

Pretty good all-around thermostat. Good accuracy and feature set. Easy to install and program.The relay in this unit is extremely loud--maybe not good, if it's near your sleeping area.There was a fan control feature (comfort circulating fan) that was in all of the marketing materials and owners manuals. However, this feature had been inexplicably removed from the product that I received.

I chose the Emerson 1F95-1291 to replace a basic white-rodgers 1F89-211. I was looking for more options without getting a "smart" thermostat with wi-fi. I was hoping it would mount in the same holes as the one it replaced. I didn't get lucky there. Otherwise, the installation went quickly. (about 30min) Write down what terminals the wires hooked up to on the old unit, remove and tape the wire ends one at a time, remove old unit, and hook up wires to the new thermostat. If you have a "c" wire it goes pretty easily. I really like the humidity display and features. It has 50+ settings to go through to get it going. The instructions are pretty good as far as explaining what the options are. You can turn off features you may not want or need. I personally like having the options available to me. I was worried about the negative reviews about the relays clicking too loud, but it sounds pretty normal to me, possibly a little quieter than the unit it replaced. At my house at least, the rumble of the air handler and condensing unit firing up is a lot louder than the little tiny click this unit makes. I'm pretty happy with it so far, hopefully it lasts a long time.

I like it for the touch display and to control the humidity from the stat itself instead of having to have to control it on the return duct in the basement. It works fine and the price was cheaper than other sites I check.

Had one for 14 years. Last week it stopped working. This one was way over $100 less than local supply house wanted and Amazon got it here in two days versus a week for supply house.Took out of box, removed back part that screws to wall and simply plugged new one into old wall mount. AC immediately running.For direct swap out this is great.

Easy to install for my husband who is an electrician. Provides relief from the humid Florida weather. Don't hesitate on this purchase if you are battling indoor humidity in your home. This thermostat will bring you much relief and comfort.

Second emerson touchscreen thermostat I bought and both have frozen and won't let me change temperature, settings, anything. Do not recommend buying this. Keeps turning fan settings has from auto to on so its constantly turning my fan on and off which cannot be good. Randomly sets it own schedule to 85 degrees then freezes to which I have to remove it from the wall and take the batteries out to reset it which work 50% of the time. Doesn't matter tho bc it will then set itself to 85 degrees again and freeze everytime. I'm unplugging it everyday about 5 times to try to get my ac working. Do not buy this waste of money.

If you need to control heat and your humidifier, this is the ticket. I could not find much on the market that does both. This one does. So far it works as it should. It is a little tricky to figure out how to wire in the humidifier, but if you are handy with installing things, it should be doable.
