Got my 18" Lasko Oscillating fan yesterday afternoon. Put it together this morning and is now working. I have 2 other Lasko fans that are really great. One is 5 yrs old & the other is 3. Both of these fans run constantly from spring to fall. I expect this one to work as long. Very easy to put together except for the front grill. Had difficulty lining it up right due to its size & my arthritic fingers. So far remote works good. Low speed is quiet. The other 2 are a little loud, but since I'm using this on my patio it's fine. Really like that it's mostly plastic, no rust because of humidity!! This is going to be a welcomed addition in Flaridas HOT summers. Recommend!!

I'm a big lass and 63 years old, and I had no problem putting this thing together. It's pretty much constantly running, and it's very quiet -- no strange sounds as it oscillates back and forth. I adjust the height frequently, whether I'm sitting at my desk or lying down, and it's very easy to do. I just have to remember righty-tighty, lefty-loosey, lol! Its pedestal is very wide, so no chance of it falling over easily when I move it around my room, which I do often. The only things I can't do with the remote is adjust the height and turn oscillation on or off. One BIG plus for me: it's easy to disassemble to clean it out.

I have had lasko fans for yrs and this has to be their best yet. It is taller and gives you a wider sweep than I’ve ever seen. Very easy to set up and a much better remote letting me turn it on at a longer distance. But what I like the most is that, to me, it actually does feel alot cooler. I can’t breath the Freon in ac but with this I’m very happy. I can’t wait to see their next upgrade.

So, I just got and assembled this fan. I had an Amazon Basic floor fan and really liked it.... until it died last night. I use it in my bedroom and can't really get good sleep without a fan going.This Lasco fan was available for next day delivery and I was desperate.It's a little confusing to assemble. There's no tools required. But there are no written assembly instructions either, just pictures. After some effort and cussin', I did get it together.It's all plastic, which is ok. It seems well designed. The base is, because it's light weight plastic, pretty big... so be prepared. It is very stable however.The front and back halves of the protective "cage" around the blades just snaps together. I'm not thrilled with that. Should the fan get knocked over, It will probably open up and expose the moving fan blades. But if it's not in a high traffic area, that should not be an issue.Sound-wise, it's a little loud, especially on the higher settings. Even on low, it's going to take some getting used to. (Amazon's floor/pedestal fan is much quieter.)Power and air moving ability... it's pretty good. No complaints there. Even at low speed it's almost too much. But you can point it up so it's not blowing directly on you.It would be nice if the remote control also allowed you to turn the oscillating feature (instead of having to pull the control on the fan itself). The Amazon fan remote has that feature. But...... I'll get used to it.Overall: it works well, looks good and seems durable. It's a good fan at decent price. Lasco is a good name in fans, so it should last awhile.If you want quiet... this isn't your fan. If you want to turn the oscillating feature on and off remotely.... this isn't your fan.Honestly, if the Amazon Basic pedestal fan was available for next day delivery, I would have give with that one. But I'll be able to live with this one.

It lasted 6 years. At night it ran 8-10hours every night for 6 years. We always kept it at the lowest speed and didn’t use the remote or any of the timer functions. Every once in awhile it would be turned to high to help clear out the house when some unfortunate smokey cooking would happen, but other then that, it would sit in our room at night and ran all night long.

Just what I needed! I was looking for a fan for my screened in back porch to provide some air flow to several special needs pets who prefer that area. This fan was easy to assemble (even for me), can be height adjusted to hit the floor or tables, and oscillates to cover a wide area. It has three fan speed settings, however, been running quitely at least 12 hours per day so far on the lowest setting and is doing the job!

This fan blows nice and cool Hàs great power and am very satisfied Works great, good price, strong and quiet, However with every Lasko floor fan I have been buying for decades the Hight adjustment will not hold the desire height over time no matter how hard you tighten it the top heavy cause the pole to slip down a little bit and little over time, so I added a hand clamp and double side tape to it and it has not slip at all
