Takes stress off my back
Using the stock handlebars on the Challenger Limited was really rough on my back. My dealer advised a backrest before I change bars so I found this company with many positive reviews. The wait wasn't as long as I thought it would be for the item to arrive. It came with 2 bolts for the bracket and took only minutes to attach to the bike ever with having to remove the seat. Once everything was in place again, maneuvering the actual backrest into the bracket slot was difficult. I found shining a flashlight under the seat helped me align the tab and it slid in tight. Once on the bike it immediately made a difference with my position and reach to the handlebars. What an improvement and it looks nice. I recommend this backrest 100%

Great for the price
Easy to install and is solidly built. Definitely worth more than the price they charge for it

Better than the Indian Brand Rider Backrest
The Grasshopper backrest fits perfect on my 2024 Pursuit and offers better back support than the expensive Indian Branded rider backrest at 1/4 the price. Looking forward to new products engineered by Grasshopper.

absolutely getting your money's worth
Install is very straightforward no issues at all very quick and easy. Several reviews mentioned having to bend the bracket back towards the rear of the bike to make the hole in the seat line up with the newly installed receiver under the seat. Although you could do that if you do you're going to end up with the give or sponginess that numerous reviews complain about. instead use your fingers to open the pocket and lean the back rest in the direction of the receiver under the seat. Once it slips in push down and you're good to go you will have a very small amount of give when you lean back on it but that is not because of the lack of sturdiness. if you're a large enough rider that you're already sitting on the tank this is not the back rest for you. Other reviews have noted and I concur it will push you forward to some degree no matter what you do even if you were to bend the bracket back like other reviews have done you're only going to get so much. I'm very happy at this price point Install time less than 10 minutes including taking the seat off.

What a great inexpensive back rest!
Bought this for my '23 Indian Challenger base model. Installation was a breeze but initially required some minor adjusting. The instructions were great and to the point. I'm able to stretch out more on the stock seat, and not have to worry about sliding back on the seat during hard or quick acceleration. I would highly recommend. With having a back rest on the stock seat makes me re-evaluate the need for aftermarket handlebars. Staying stock for now.

Great fit
Product as advertised. Simple and comfortable. Wish I purchased sooner. All in one package. No need for separate purchases.

On the fence still
The price of this item is great. What you get for what you pay seems like a lot (in a good way). The finish of the seat material, although not a perfect match to my seat, is still pretty nice. I have a couple of complaints tho.1) The mount is somewhat flimsy. That is- the part that holds the vertical bar for the actual back rest kinda wobbles front to back. This wobble is in the actual mount. The metal itself flexes easily. If it was reenforced somehow that would make a big difference. This translates into the backrest itself moving back and forth. I feel that If I leaned hard backwards the backrest mount would give up the ghost. So when I ride I constantly feel like I need to be careful with it. Not really a deal breaker- just wish it was more solid.2) This does push the rider forward. The way the seat back attaches to the vertical bar- you loose at least a couple of inches. If there was a bend in the vertical bar, it could accommodate for the thickness of the padding in the back rest. Maybe like a slight “s” shape bend would help. These two issues could be solved with some fabrication. The cost of the item is considerably less than factory options. To me, it’s a good way to see if you’re a back rest type of guy (or gal). I’d rather spend $80 to find out if it works for me than the $600 plus that Indian wants.

Great price
works great especially for the money. Seat doesn’t lock down and you can pull it up pretty easy. Doesn’t move when you’re riding and does its job supporting your lower back. Definitely worth the price vs buying an actual Indian brand seat
