Pathetic instructions
I waited until I was able to successfully install the unit as well as test it against a known good/accurate bicycle speedometer/odometer. I hope my findings will help potential buyers. Since the negatives (cons) far outweigh the positives, I'll start with those:1) Instructions are TERRIBLE. The "instruction book" is simply a sheet of folded 8 1/2 x 11 (inch) paper, with English on one side (passable, but not great) and German on the other side. The amount of detail provided is insufficient for a 'n00b' to successfully install the unit (I succeeded since I've had several wired units). Usually, if pressed for space, the manufacturer includes a URL to a PDF file or perhaps a QR code. No help here.2) The sensing/transmitting unit is HUGE ... which means its hard to mount on the fork & have space between the magnetic probe on the spokes. Even when I mounted mine at the very top of the fork, which gave the most space, I still had to angle it to the side in order to provide enough clearance for the spinning magnet.3) The display, which mounts on the handlebars, MUST be mounted within 24 inches of the sender/TX on the fork. The display has limits. The DST (distance) is only accurate to 1 decimal place (tenths of a mile). My other units go to 3 decimal places. There is no ODO (odometer) read out to keep track of seasonal distance. Once you reset the DST for your current ride, your total distance is gone as well. If you reset your Max Speed or Avg Speed or Time, you will blow away your DST as well. This is a serious shortcoming imho. The Display DOES NOT activate automatically from sleep mode. So, when you go to ride, you will have to 'wake' it manually.Positives:1) The display unit uses Nvram, so resetting or changing the battery will not lose your settings.2) You can easily adjust your calibration number, to dial it in if needed. There was a setting for my 700 x 38C tires, which appears to be fairly accurate. The sizes listed in the set up chart cover the majority of bike tire sizes.Summary:This unit is okay for the occasional bicycle rider, but not for serious users. There are enough negatives to prevent me from recommending it. For a few more bucks, I would recommend you get a "Cat's Eye" brand unit, which are, in general, far superior to this unit, and are easier to install.

Mostly great
Item is very easy to install and set up. I am really enjoying the data I am getting while on my mountain bike. Only reason for 3 stars instead of five is the range of transmission. Works great while everything is mounted to front wheel for a bike ride outdoors. However when I put my bike in my cycle trainer because the weather is bad, obviously you have to move the magnet and transmitter to the rear wheel which is no big deal, but the receiver on the handlebars is now too far to pick up a signal. I set the receiver on the ground next to the rear wheel to be able to track my speed and distance while the bike is mounted stationary in the cycle trainer. Not a huge deal but a further signal range would be great so the receiver could remain easily visible on the handlebars instead of needing to be placed on the ground next to the bike.If you don't plan on using a cycle trainer indoors with your bike I recommend this product. If you are going to use a cycle trainer just know that you will have to dismount the receiver and place it down closer to the rear wheel to get a reading.

User error đ
I got this product in 2023. Had hard time to get the speedometer to work, not registering any distance when I manually turning the wheel fast. I re-read the instruction, and noticed that the magnet needed to be placed on a spoke pointing to the edge of the sensor, not to the center of the sensor. Voila, the speedometer started recording the distance.A few days ago, the speedometer started behaving strangely, recording a couple of times, then went dead. I ordered the same product again, but couldnât get it to work.I started reading the reviews, and one of them pointed out that you need to replace not only the LCD screen and also the sensor battery. So I did, VOILA, itâs working again. THANK you for sharing your experience. I feel very happy, not because of saving the effort to get a different one, it solved the puzzle đ

Bargain-price full featured wireless bike speedometer
This is an under $20 wireless bike speedometer but has all of the standard features, I.e., speed, average speed, top speed, distance and time. It also has a odometer to record total miles and a scan function for trip distance, average speed and maximum time, which I find useful. Actual speed is shown in large numbers at the top of the display at all times. Functioning does not begin automatically; you must press one of the buttons to begin, and again if the computer goes to sleep after five minutes of inactivity. Mounting is straightforward, attaching the mounting plate, sender and magnet as with any other wireless computer. Set up is straight-forward, easier than with some name brands I have used. The instructions are decent. I have found that the most likely problem is when the sender is installed more than a few mm from the magnet on the spoke, or the sender is more than about 60 cm from the computer. It wasn't a problem with this installation. The vendor supplies the two required CR2032 batteries and a spare, a nice touch
