Worked perfectly

I needed to shorted a few Cat cables and this cutter/crimper fulfilled the job quite well. It is of sound construction and easy to use. It cut the cable easily and stripped the wires to correct length. It was easy to fit the connectors. Recommended.

Hopefully I’ll only ever have to fit one Ethernet plug on a cat 5 cable. It took about an hour of my life, but that’s down to the plug design, not this product, which worked very well.It’s not a professional model. Those have stronger, mechanisms, but this was up to the job and the plug hasn’t fallen off since. So, if you’re a casual crumpet, this should serve you well.

Great quality with ease of use and a strong, comfortable grip makes this a great tool. I am happy that I spent a little more on this one, as it proved to be a keeper (the last cheap one broke in two days and was NOT from Amazon).

I use an expensive ratchet set at work, and to be quite honest while you do miss the ratchet, as long as you commit and squeeze tight it's not a problem.So all in all these do the job and seem to do it well. They engage both plastic grips and all the contacts as expected.For the price, they are a bargain!

Great value for money and did the job well. I bought a pair of these (different make and style) for about the same price at Toolstation and they broke after one use so this one is definitely worth it for the price and the fact it doesn't break after one use.

A tool that has various crimps and cutting/stripping blades? At £13.99 at the time of this review? What's not to like?Not a bad tool overall. As the description says, it is capable of all that so I'm not going to rattle on about it all.General quality then; It does ok. Stripping and cutting blades work, though in true tradition with an inexpensive non-professional tool they can be hit and miss regarding the consistency and and quality. Not overly bad, but most of the time I prefer to use my trusty old cyclops for stripping ethernet! Gives me a more tangible and controllable method in my experience.Crimps are ok too, if again a bit hit and miss. Like so many cheap RJ45 crimp tools I've used I find one of my handy hints is to give the handles a bit of a bouncy-squeeze once closed to ensure it beds the pins into the wires firmly and straight, and securely and evenly locates the cable clip/clamp into place.If you've ever done any crimping of this kind I'm sure you'd appreciate the idea that at this price it's a welcome addition to my personal tool kit, but I think if you're a professional fitter then something more "professional" is the way to provide consistency without the element of hit-and-miss causing you to swear a little more often than one would like when you know you have another hundred million RJ's to fit this week!I did also notice the product information having a slight error in it; I say slight error with tongue in cheek, have a look at the snip screenshot I made and see if you can spot the glaring obvious error with the Type A and B... Yep, they're the same picture, Type A! I hope nobody out there has followed this in trying to make themselves a crossover cable!Overall a good crimp tool as it has a bunch of features that make it a really handy addition to my toolkit, and excellent value at that price, but if you're a professional fitter it might annoy you one or twice too often and you'll revert to cyclops and professional crimp tool.I'll give it a thumbs up!
