CircuPool® Universal40 Saltwater Chlorinator - Complete System with 40k-Gallon Max Cell - Compatible with existing Systems,Titanium Cell & 4 Year Warranty

I bought the CircuPool 55K gallon chlorinator in May 2024. It was relatively easy to install, I did it myself in a few hours.It's November 2024 and I noticed my pool had some yellow algae in it. I checked the chlorinator and it had turned off stating that the cells needed maintainance. I disconnected the chlorinator using a large plier like oil filter wrench, took 2 minutes. Then I found the old cleaning cap from my old sucky pentair chlorinator that this replaced, found the pentair cap fit perfectly. So I propped up the CircuPool chlorinator and filled it with a 1-4 mix of muriatic acid and let it sit. It didn't look that dirty, but I did notice some fizzing.I gave it 15 minutes until the fizzing stopped, poured the used muriatic acid down the toilet. Then flushed the CircuPool unit with water. Reconnected everything, and it was producing chlorine again. So for my 30K gallon pool, looks like I have to clean the chlorinator about every 6 months. That's reasonable, having to clean was expected.I like that I went oversized on the chlorinator, I run it at 20-30% power and you can smell the excess chlorine being produced in the water. I live in Florida and its hot, lots of sun to burn up the chlorine, lots of rain to dilute the water, and this thing has really made my life easier and I don't get any yellow algae when the chlorinator and my pump is working proper. All I generally do is add Muriatic acid every couple weeks, about 1/3 gallon, and the pool stays nice and clean and sanitary with the right PH. I do have Vingli pool cleaner as well, inexpensive and it does a good job at sucking up debris on the bottom.One feature that I like about the chlorinator is the FlowSwitch. If the water is not circulating, then the chlorinator shuts off. This is especially helpful because I get a lot of power outages that trigger my pentair pump to shut off. If power comes back on and without that flow switch, the chlorinator would run without any water pump circulation which I think shortens the chlorinator life. I really wish my pentair pump had a battery backup or something, but otherwise its been a very reliable pump, going on 8 years now.One other thing I like about this chlorinator is that it requires much less salt than my old Pentair model. I actually had to drain 1/3 of the pool water out when I first installed it as the pump read that the salt levels were too high. Added back fresh water, things have been great since.No one paid me for this review, I've burned plenty of vendors where necessary. I spend a little time writing reviews as I find they really help me when choosing products. I always state the product name in the review, and if a car part I always state the model and year that the part fixed. I really wish more people would do this, I find those reviews so helpful, and I always look at the most recent reviews as the first ones you see are not typically legit and created by the vendor or their friends.Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Best pool investment I’ve ever made. Once you Set it, you can Forget it. Large upfront cost but pays off in time and money. I had a warranty issue two years later and it was covered 100%. Staff is very knowledgeable about their product.

Excellent product and easy plug and play. Startup was simple after installation. I have a new system and didn't have to deal with out of warranty contract pool prices

Super Happy with the product. Direct replacement for Aqua Rite 15 cell. Literally took less than 20 minutes to install. The manufactures website and product support is also pretty impressive. I typed in a question and before I could finish typing, the answer came up. This unit was about 40% less than the Aqua Rite equipment and as far as I can tell, it is as good or a better product.

I purchased this system in June of 2021.The computer stopped working April 2024. The system is still under warranty! I had it professionally assessed to determine the salt cell was still working but it was the computer(box). I called Pace and was promised once they received the computer, at my cost, I would receive a working board in 3 days. Tracking confirmed it was delivered on a Thursday. I called on Friday and the man said they would look at it and access it on Monday. On the following Tuesday, I called and they said it’s in “limbo” and they haven’t determined if it is working or not and will let me know on Wednesday. Today is Wednesday and they used the word limbo again to describe their process. All this time my pool pump is unable to run because of how the electricity is ran.They have yet to send an email even acknowledging the receiving of this expensive box that I shipped and insured while it is under warranty. I do not recommend dealing or purchasing from this company.

Simple and does the job. John Hill in customer service is fantastic at his job. Helped me trouble shoot w ez fixes. Really appreciate.

This review is for the salt water skeptics or just on the fence about making the switch.I found I was using about $300 in chemicals every 4 months and a lot if time playing the water chemistry balancing act. So, after reading up on reviews and with the price point set where it's not a budget breaker I made the purchase of the Circupool Universal 40 unit. I first dissolved 200 lbs of required salt in my pool. The set up says to give it a couple days to correctly disolve and be usable. After receiving my Circupool unit I physically layed the components out along with the wires to be certain it would be a clean and professional install. I mounted the controller next to my pool timer....shut off power at the box and connected the 3 wires securely to the pool timer. 30 mins for this task. I carefully cut in and glued the flow control and the chlorine generator module. 30 mins for this task. After 20 mins of securing the wires with zip ties as the glued fittings dried I hit the power to the timer which fired up the entire system. All together let's say 1.5hrs from start to finish.2 months in and pool looks sparkling great and has never had an imbalance yet. I test 2 times a week and all is balanced so far every time. The system is plug and play and at this point my pool timer shuts all down for 7 hrs every night. My system read out still shows balance and good Chem levels.I will add a bag or 2 of salt a year if the system readout reflect the need to do so....at $9 for a 40 lb bag. There are 2 other minor Chem balancing items that are at $13 to $20 for those and I have yet to need any of them.When somebody asks me......I say Go salt and enjoy your pool!
