Signature Fitness Cast Iron Plate Weight Plate for Strength Training and Weightlifting, Olympic or Standard, Multiple Sizes

These are plates that I use on dumbbells. They are pretty basic and a really good value. The paint job is nice, and it seems pretty durable. It's a little slicker than I'd prefer, but maybe that's just because all of my other plates have an as-cast finish and a minimal coating of flat black paint. In other words, these are nicer than I'm used to.I bought these in smaller weights, and the slots are handy when building a dumbbell mid-workout with sweaty hands. I've been pleased with them and think they are a good value.

At first I was scared of buying these because of rusting, but they are great quality and are perfect for adding weight!

These are very similar to CAP and work just as well. My gym is outdoors and exposed to AZ sun/heat and the weights have held up nicely.

When it comes to iron plates, I look for two qualities: the accuracy of the weight and the thinness of the plates (so as to be able to load more plates onto the barbell sleeves). With regard to the latter, these Cap plates are great. They are, for example, much thinner than the other "Standard" plates I own. They come in at 1.3 inches, as stated in the product description. With regard to the first point, there is some variance. I bought two of these 45 lb plates and noticed that one plate weighed 44.8 lbs - which is remarkably accurate for such a bargain option. This is approaching the level of accuracy expected of more expensive, calibrated plates. The other one, however, weighed 42.8 lbs - which is still reasonably accurate, being within the margin of error of 5%. But imagine if several of the former were loaded on one sleeve and several of the others were loaded on the other - now those "small differences" can add up. Nonetheless, I'm giving this product a 5 star rating simply because the "pound for dollar" value simply cannot be beat.

The weights are solid, accurate and a good size. They're comfortable to grip and easy to handle. It's missing paint on some spots but it's not chipping so that's fine. Wish the center hole was smoother though. Overall, not bad for the price!

They're weights. Don't overthink it. But I would buy them to be used on a long bar, not the short ones. They're pretty "tall" for the short bar and can impede some motions.
