Does the job. Good quality construction. And comes with optical cable and USB Type-A power cable.

I needed this because I have a Samsung TV which has awful audio. I have a Bose home speaker which has Bluetooth, but there are lip-sync issues, so the only other supported option was to use the optical output from the TV, and use this converter box to go into the analog 'Aux In' connection on the Bose device. It works fine, but you'll have to set the TV to always output in 'PCM' mode, otherwise the audio will disappear when watching certain programs using a different encoding. The audio quality is pretty reasonable (you wouldn't expect top Hi-Fi from such an adapter, but it's certainly way better than listening through the built-in speaker inside most TVs).A slight issue is that the audio level is no longer adjustable from the TV remote control, but that's not a fault of the adapter. The adapter is well built, in a folded metal enclosure. The attached photo shows what is inside, for those curious about what integrated circuits are used.I liked that the device comes with an optical cable, and a power supply cable (USB Type A). Many TVs have a USB socket, so that can provide the power. Note that the product does not come with any analog audio cable. You'll have to purchase a phono (RCA) cable separately.

Great sound. Very easy to set up. Panasonic Viera TV to hifi amp.

It recently occurred to me that I should be able to connect my quite old, but still working perfectly Panasonic Viera plasma TV to my hifi speakers which are set up with my Onkyo amplifier underneath the wall mounted TV. Basically I connect the supplied digital optical cable to the TV and plug the other end into the unit. I already had a 3.5mm jack to 2 X RCA plugged into my amp (which was connected to a Bluetooth receiver so I can play music from my phone via the hifi) so I just swapped the 3.5mm jack and plugged it into the headphone socket on the unit (or you can output via 2 X RCA to 2 X RCA). Amp on, correct channel chosen, TV on and the sound is extremely clean and clear and suddenly I have something approaching a surround sound setup. Massive improvement for very little expense. So the only extra you need is the cable to connect the unit to your amp (as explained above). The unit is powered by a standard USB power cable (included) plugged into a charger adapter (also not included but you may have a spare one somewhere).Great bit of kit. Wish I'd bought one ten years ago when I got the TV!

Prozor Digital to Analogue Converter

Tha DAC is as described in the description it is nicely built and works as it should, all inputs and out puts easily distinguished no volume control but no problem for my needs as my speakers have a volume control. Also wanted to mention it was a fair price. Nothing negative to say. I would have no qualms by other products from this brand.

PROZOR DAC Digital SPDIF Toslink to Analog Audio Converter Make Your Old Stereo System Play Digital Sources.

Got this little gizmo, because the CD player in my Panasonic SA-AKX52 hi fii had packed up. My choice was try and repair or replace the CD player, buy a separate player, for which I would need another electric socket or find a way to get my Sony BDPS4100 Smart 3D Blu-ray Disc Player to play through my non smart hi-fi so I could use that to listen to CDs.Problem was, my BD player, only had a digital coaxial output and my LG TV only had one SPDIF/Toslink digital output. My hi-fi had neither of these as inputs.I already had my Tivo box connected to my hi-fi by a scart multi connector, which also converted the audio, to standard stereo audio phono/RCA plugs, which then connected to the hi-fi.The blu ray player and TiVo were connected to the LG TV by HDMI leads. This little box solved and simplified, the whole mess.It comes with two leads one USB to DC barrel type connector cable and one optical (also known as SPDIF or Toslink) cable. What you do is plug the USB lead into a USB socket on your TV. (If your TV doesn't have one, you will have to get a separate one that plugs into the mains or use a USB socket from another device such as a play station, lap top etc.) The USB supplies the power (5 volts) to the unit. A red light will come on, telling you the unit is now receiving power. Then you plug the the SPDIF/Toslink lead into your TV and the other end into the Prozor DAC unit.. Then using two standard audio phono/RCA leads, connect the phono sockets on the unit, to the phono/RCA /Aux IN sockets on your hi-fi.(These phono/RCA leads DON'T come with the unit, you have to supply these yourself)That's it... Now any digital audio, that is coming into your TV from HDMI connectors or other inputs, will be output to the unit from your TV converted to analogue and sent to your non-digital hifi..Before, when I had my TiVo connected to the hi-fi by scart, when I used my blu ray player, I had to use my less than ideal TV speakers to listen to the audio on films, as the blu ray player had no scart or phono out sockets. Now I can use my hi-fi speakers if I want to.I am only using the SPDIF/Toslink socket on the unit, to connect to my TV and hence Blu Ray player and TiVo box, to my hi-fi. It also has a digital coaxial socket, so if I wished, I could connect my blu ray or any other device with a coaxial digital out socket, directly to the unit and hence to the non-smart analogue hi-fi if I wanted to.It has an autosense input selection, which prioritise the SPDIF/Toslink connectio, so this must be disabled/disconnected to use the digital coaxial one.Very pleased with this device. Unit itself, is sturdy and well made, leads are not particularly long (not an issue if you are plugging them both into the same TV) The SPDIF/Toslink lead, is maybe not the sturdiest I have ever seen but if you are not going to be plugging and unplugging it a lot, then that shouldn't be an issue. With digital leads, they either work or they don't, they are not like analogue leads where you sometimes get a bit of power through but not ALL of it. with digital leads you get ALL or NONE.These worked right away no problems whatsoever. Sound quality, seems very good. I played various sources, through the unit. CD, mp3s from USB stick, SD card, from USB converter,YouTube etc and they all worked. The levels seemed fairly consistent, going to the hi-fi and of course you control the main volume from that volume control, there is no volume control on the unit. All in all very pleased with this little device.

Perfect for taking a second output out of a sonos port.

Perfect for taking the digital coax out of a sonos port. In case not known the sonos plays rca and coax at the same time. We used a prozor to pipe the digital coax over a cat6 cable (note this is not ip, just using the wires) and then this to take that extended coax to another rca. We've essentially got one port connected to two systems now. Worked straight out the box.

Does its job but not compatible with LG sound control

It seems that it should be ok with Samsung TV, but not for LG.One LG TV, you get one sound level and that's it: no way to adjust the sound coming out from the converter... unless you add another device of course... It would have been good that was put a bit clearer in the description.
