Very Pleased
I do agree with Mr Hellis on a couple of things, Firstly it is an amazing little gadget, I didn't expect much for £25 but i am very pleased with it. Secondly the instructions are a little poor, Am not that technical but half hour playing with it you'll soon get where you can log a route and view it on your computer. That's all I wanted it for, as you play with it you'll find it does much more. Am quite pleased with the software very clear to view and easy to link to facebook.I've done a couple of walks and took it to work and drove round with it in the cab for a day, it's been very accurate so far. and this was the longest day i've used it so far and it managed 12 hours without any problem. Limited but useful
In spite of having limitations this device did all I wanted to geotag my photographs. As a data logger it works fine and the software is ok. The small size is convenient as for a week I kept it my pocket whenever out walking or driving. There are only a few occasions when the photographs and locations do not tally but they appear to be metres and this could be due to the logger, Google maps, location etc. but on the whole very good and no problems as yet.

Supplied software out-of-date
Warning! This device will probably not work as received, though it can be ‘modified’ to work.I have owned one of these GPS loggers for several years and find them very good. However, round about 8/04/19 it ceased to work properly because the dates of tracks were not registered as April 2019 but August 1999. So I bought a Renkforce tracker (really a renamed Canway, whose software it uses) from Amazon. Unfortunately the new version displays exactly the same fault that the old one had developed. In addition the supplied instructions in PDF format are in German despite being labelled English.Anyway, regarding the incorrect dating, which renders the system unworkable for some applications, I received guidance on the internet that the cause is a Y2K date rollover issue that occurred around 8 April 2019 – the first time since the August 1999 date rollover. This causes dates to revert to August 1999 and sequence from there. Canway failed to spot this impending, glaring error and failed to re-issue its software. So all Canway loggers already sold or awaiting sale are pretty well rendered useless for some applications. Then in response to my online search enquiries someone identified new software issued by a Canadian organisation in early April. That solved the problem and also provided an English version of the instructions. Everything now works as it should. But black marks to Canway for failing to stop this impending major failure many years ago. Apart from that the GT-730FL is an excellent device for data logging photos. The only big problem I find is that it loses track when passing under trees in full leaf, though it retains contact inside most buildings. Apart from the inexcusable software catastrophe, I would give it 4 or 5 stars.

Good device - Software poor
The device works very well, but delivery took longer than declared. The provided software is out of date, and results in all tracks being YEARS out of date (1024 weeks). Nothing n the documentation mentions this, and even searching online finds an updated version which cures this problem, but Microsoft Windows 10 detects this as having a virus - ignore this, I ignored this and used the software anyway - it works fine. Conclusion - the device is very good value and works well, although the software for PC should be better, it does still work pretty weell - just don;t expect it to be problem free

Great device at an excellent price
A brilliant little device, but needs to be places by the windscreen in a car otherwise track can be intermittent.I had a problem with the software not seeing Google Maps after I'd been using it for a week (API out of date), but thank's to Mr. J. Brown's feedback (for the Ventus G730-probably the same device), I was able to update the software, and it is back working!

Not bad, loses signal sometimes.
Generally not bad, but even in the hood pocket of my rucksack ( so only a layer of nylon between it and the heavens) it'll still lose signal from time to time.Drivers CD was next to useless and I had to spend hours looking for drivers so I could use it on my Mac.TBH, I've given up using it and just got some decent quality rechargeables for my Garmin and use that instead

Not compatible with W10
supplied USB to serial driver not compatible with W10. Requires a weird application to get the data off and convert it to .GPX. Why can't I just open the USB device as a memory device and copy a data file off? Too complicated and doesn't work. The vendor has agreed to a refundOddly, after returned the unit they have sent me another one with no explanation. I have written to them to ask why and what they expect me to do with the second one.
