Fantastic Enrichment Tool for Your Dog...and You
We have 5 Border Collies in our kennel that LOVE this enrichment toy. And so do Mom and Dad because we let this toy fascinate the dog and we don't have to constantly throw the ball in a play session. Follow the included instructions and monitor the product use because the foam CAN be torn off by an aggressive chewer. They do sell replacement for the outside cover if that happens, but we have aggressive chewers and have had no problems because we monitor their play. Our dogs are in LOVE with this because it moves and their prey drive is challenged. It's also very fun to watch them react to the toy while they curiously approach it (useful in acclimating a dog to new stimulus). Minimal noise from the toy in action, the battery life is fantastic (it's rechargeable), the size is great for our medium breed dogs (Border Collies) and its' several program functions offer different challenges that the dogs love. Very functional product. It's pricey, but SO VERY WORTH IT! Comparing prices on other sites, Amazon is very competitive.

Definitely provides enrichment for my dog and hasnt shattered when she bites it. It does have LOTS or tiny punctures in it now from her teeth but the outside foam protects the inner operating device so it still works fine. The battery never dies while shes playing with it and the size is big enough that she cant choke on it but small enough that she can actually pick it up. Rolling mode is virtually silent too

NOT DURABLE; MUST SUPERVISE dog
We bought this 12-2024 as a Christmas present for the dogs, and only turn it on and let them use it while supervised-A handful of times over the last few months. It barely moves and isn't that enticing on any mode. The dogs mostly hold it in their mouths while it vibrates. It's 5-2025 and my husband let my dogs have it out for maybe 5 minutes while he was in the room with them and my mouthy golden managed to unscrew it (AFTER my husband had turned it on and TIGHTLY screwed it closed) and chew the wiring and the hard plastic threading. She broke it that quickly. We have WAY TOO many dog toys because they are my interim babies while my teenagers go through puberty, so I know what toys are worth the $36 and this isn't it. I mean, THE WHOLE POINT of the toy is to be interactive to give them something to entertain them for a few minutes, but they can't even be safe unsupervised with it so you're busy watching them anyway, and good thing we were because any number of those inner parts could have caused an intestinal blockage or other expensive vet issue.

Much better than the old model.
This is so much better than the older model I bought last year. The older one was pretty heavy, not very soft and difficult to turn on. It finally died after a year of pretty regular use. The new one actually bounces and I don't feel like I'm going to break any glass tables with it. It is so much better. Easier to turn on. I think the only thing that would make it better is if you could find it through an app like the "find your iphone".

Newness wears off
They loved the novelty of this ball when they first got it. They still play with it, but they don't care if I charge it or not.

Not for smart dogs with a high prey drive.
I'm giving it 3 stars only because it works as it should but this toy isn't for smart, determined high energy dogs with a high prey drive. My 11 month old JRT undress this thing with in minutes regardless of how tight I get it. He also runs the battery down in a few hours. He's only been playing with it for 4 hours and the cover is already coming off.

great toy for an energetic 2 year old terrier
My dog is very active and loves ball fetching. But with a moving bouncing ball she likes to hold on to it longer in her mouth when it shakes. I bought a similar rechargeable ball a year ago that costs more and is hard. The foam coating around other ball is thin and wearing down from the biting, exposing the hard plastic.Heres the huge difference with your product and why I like it so much. Your ball comes in two parts and the foam covering can eventually be replaced when needed. The foam on your ball is so much thicker and theres plastic on the inside to better protect the mechanism. Your ball is softer, so even when her teeth sink into it, it hasnt broken off peeled off like the other one. Due to the thickness of your foam, she can easily grip your ball, even though its a little bigger than the other one. Your ball bounces higher too. My dog loves all balls, but she is obsessed with the motion. But your ball hands down is much more durable, and longer lasting. Perhaps at some point, only the outer covering would need to be replaced, which you offer too at a great price, so its a better investment because the mechanism inside doesn't need to be thrown out or replaced. This is a smart design and more economical. Well done. Love this ball. Its Cocoa approved.

Subpar product
Fairly disappointed with this. My dog was regularly opening it up within 15 minutes of receiving it. She's not even a particularly aggressive chewer. My mother bought my pup a similar item from another company at roughly a 1/3 of the cost. After 9-12 months, said pup was able to pop it open, which prompted this purchase.I fell for the superior marketing, the claim it was for medium to large dogs, in addition to the presumption "you get what you pay for" would apply. It did not.The bouncing/rolling movement of the product is far inferior to the previous product that was purchased. Lethargic at its most aggressive setting. The last product, you simply plugged a USB into without any additional work. This one requires you to unscrew the outer casing to expose the electrical components in order to charge. Minor, but notable inconvenience.Unable to speak to battery life at this point.I can't recommend this item.
